Sometimes it's the little trips that make all the difference. After living in South Africa for 6 months total it can feel like all the "normal" trips in our home state don't compare.
It's so not true. I think we should always be taking romantic, beautiful trips with ourselves, our partners or our friends.
One of our favorites is visiting the Oregon coast.
On this particular trip I was trying my hand at surfing. We didn't want to spend money on accommodations so we decided to drive our truck out and find a place to camp. A guy in Neskowin ended up letting us in on a secret gravel road that went off into the logging areas. After surfing/getting pummeled by waves, we found the secret road and set up our home for the evening.
As the sun came up the next morning we used our camp stove to make an Aero Press of coffee and chill in the back of the truck until we were ready to hit the waves again.
We spent the rest of the day surfing at two different beach spots, making lunch in the back of the truck and realizing how lucky we are to live so close the the majestic ocean.
